ASC/HSC - Hemisferic Social Alliance: www.asc-hsa.org

Women activists have been engaged in the HSA since its inception. The Committee was created in order to share activities, identify new opportunities for joint analyses and provide a presence in the key meetings related to American continent. These women have a deeply critical of the negative impacts that trade and investment policies are having on women in the region and are striving for change. IGTN Latin America and North America are active members.

AWID - The Association for Women’s Rights in Development: www.awid.org

International membership organization connecting, informing and mobilizing people and organizations committed to achieving gender equality, sustainable development and women's human rights. AWID's goal is to cause policy, institutional and individual change that will improve the lives of women and girls everywhere. IGTN is an active member.

DAWN - Development Alternatives with Women in a New Era: www.dawn.org.fj
Network of women scholars and activists from the economic South who engage in feminist research and analysis of the global environment and are committed to working for economic justice, gender justice and democracy. DAWN works globally and regionally in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America and the Pacific in partnership with other global NGOs and networks. IGTN is an active member.

IDS is an internationally-renowned centre for research and teaching on development, established in 1966. IDS also hosts many innovative information and knowledge management services.

IATP - Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy: www.iatp.org

Works with organizations around the world to analyze how global trade agreements impact domestic farm and food policies. Alongside a global coalition, IATP advocates for fair trade policies that promote strong health standards, labor and human rights, the environment and, most fundamentally, democratic institutions. IATP is based on US and Europe. IGTN has joint projects with IATP.

SAPRIN - Structutal Adjustment Participatory Review International Network: www.saprin.org

Global network established to expand and legitimize the role of civil society in economic policymaking and to strengthen the organized challenge to structural adjustment programs by citizens around the globe.

Fights poverty in developing countries in partnership and solidarity with people affected by globalisation. We campaign for workers' rights and against the root causes of global poverty, inequality and injustice.

UNRISD - Research Institute for Social Development: www.unrisd.org

An autonomous UN agency engaging in multidisciplinary research on the social dimensions of contemporary problems affecting development. Through its research, UNRISD stimulates dialogue and contributes to policy debates on key issues of social development within and outside the United Nations system.

UNIFEM - United Nations Development Fund for Women: www.unifem.org
Promotes women's empowerment and gender equality. It works to ensure the participation of women in all levels of development planning and practice, and acts as a catalyst within the UN system, supporting efforts that link the needs and concerns of women to all critical issues on the national, regional and global agendas.

A permanent intergovernmental body, UNCTAD is the principal organ of the United Nations General Assembly in the field of trade and development.

UNDP - United Nations Development Program: www.undp.org
Mission is to help countries in their efforts to achieve sustainable human development by assisting them to build their capacity to design and carry out development programmes in poverty eradication, employment creation and sustainable livelihoods, the empowerment of women and the protection and regeneration of the environment, giving first priority to poverty eradication.

IMF - International Monetary Fund: www.imf.org
An international organization of 182 member countries, established to promote international monetary cooperation, exchange stability, and orderly exchange arrangements; to foster economic growth and high levels of employment; and to provide temporary financial assistance to countries under adequate safeguards to help ease balance of payments adjustment.

WB - World Bank Group: www.worldbank.org
The World Bank Group consists of five closely associated institutions: the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD); International Development Association (IDA), International Finance Corporation (IFC); Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA); and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).

WTO - World Trade Organization: www.wto.org
WTO is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations. At its heart are the WTO agreements, negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world's trading nations and ratified in their parliaments. The goal is to help producers of goods and services, exporters, and importers conduct their business.
