Caribbean Gender and Trade Network (CGTN) Economic Literacy Resources
The economic literacy focal point for the Caribbean Gender and Trade Network (CGTN) is Dr. Mariama Williams. Current CGTN economic literacy resources include: This document gives a brief overview of the Caribbean and Globalization - beginning with the Lome Convention in 1975 and continuing into the 1990s.
This economic literacy piece defines the main players in the trade arena in the Caribbean, the trade arangements and agreements. It also gives a picture of the overall trade regionalization and differentiation in the Caribbean and the curernt trade issues. Lastly the document presents the evolution of CARICOM from a Free Trade Agreement to a Common Market and lastly a Single Market and Economy.
This article relates the current trade policy trust of Caribbean countries and four case studies of trade policy formulation and objectives in the Caribbean: Barbados, Belize, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago.
