| Abstract: |
The African Social Forum was convened in Bamako, Mali from 5 to 9 January 2002, as an offshoot of the World Social Forum with a dual objective of strengthening the organization of the social movement in Africa and consolidating the world social movement. The Forum was attended by more than two hundred social movements, organizations and institutions from forty-five African countries. The motto of the Forum was "Another Africa is Possible." This document reports on the objectives, themes, presentations, outcomes and recommendations of the Forum. |
